Project Description: The intent of this project is to excavate the alum drying beds located at our Purrysburg Water Treatment Plant: 10314 Purrysburg Road, Hardeeville, SC 29927 . Pond is approximately 24 acres in area and 14 feet deep. Dredge the solids and dewater the solids from the alum pond. The dewatered solids shall be transported to a landfill of the contractor's choice. Contractors are encouraged to make site visits to ensure accurate quantities of required items as described above. All work to be in accordance with BJWSA's Specifications. Access to electric utilities on site. Utilities include 350A - 480V - 3 Phase electric power. 4" water line at 60 PSI, and a dewatering pad and pump station rated at 400 GPM BJWSA is seeking the greatest amount of material in dry tons excavated and transported, within the project budget of $800,000. Project will be awarded to the bidder who can remove and dispose of the greatest amount of material, on a dry weight basis, within the project budget.
