Site work for a water / sewer project in Lorain, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Labor, equipment, and materials are required to complete all work on a water main transmission valve within the City of Lorain. The work includes excavating, removing, and replacing an existing 24" gate valve on a 24" reinforced concrete water main pipe. Additional work may involve bedding, backfill, pavement restoration, installing line stops, and maintenance of traffic. Bidders must submit a list of available equipment and ensure labor is paid not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce for Lorain County, OH. Compliance with the American Disabilities Act is required, along with all federal minority and women business enterprise requirements. Use of Ohio products, materials, services, and labor is encouraged where practicable. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, a letter of credit equal to ten percent of the amount bid, or a bond for the full amount of the bid as guarantee. Each bid check/bond should be enclosed in the sealed bid in a separate envelope clearly marked with the bidder's name and address. Discrimination in employment is prohibited. The Director of Safety/Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
