The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to: lighting installation and related electrical and site improvements to Taylor Park, located at 100 Millburn Avenue in Millburn, NJ. The proposed improvements include, but are not necessarily limited to, light pole installation including foundations and required electrical work and updates to an existing lighting control system. The lighting improvements include 14 new pole lights, foundations, site preparation, and all required electrical wiring, conduit, and connections around the northern walking trail near the existing baseball/softball field, along with any other incidental construction as shown or indicated on the plans and as described in the specifications. Bids must be submitted handwritten on the form furnished by the Township, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder’s name and address and the name of the project. Submission of a proposal without the bid bond will be considered a non-responsive bid and will be rejected. A certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, must be submitted with the bid. Where required, a Consent of Surety in the amount equal to 100% of the bid shall also be required. The surety issuing any required bond must be licensed and/or authorized to transact business in New Jersey and must be acceptable to the Township. The contractor must comply with the requirements of the Law Against Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Rules, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as applicable. A copy of the Business Registration Certificate for the bidder and subcontractors must be submitted prior to award. The successful bidder shall comply with all applicable laws, including the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The Township may entertain any written questions that Bidders may have regarding the Bid Documents. Such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Township no less than five (5) business days prior to the bid opening. Based on the questions submitted, the Township may, at its own discretion, provide answers, which may be in the form of an Addendum to the Bid Documents.
