Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Erie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
Contract T-602-DR The work involves replacing the existing prestressed concrete non-composite adjacent box beam superstructure. The new superstructure will consist of four 48" x 21" prestressed concrete composite spread box beams with an 8" cast-in-place concrete deck with vertical barriers. Minor substructure work includes deteriorated concrete repairs, crack sealing, beam set modifications, and waterproofing. Minimal approach roadway work is also included for the project. A certified check or bank draft payable to Greene Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Contractors must abide by all laws and regulations applicable to locally funded public contracts, including equal employment opportunity. Prevailing wages apply. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids and bid security may be held by the owner for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
