Florida Atlantic University MC20 Mechanical Installation Bids: 1. Underground (100% permit set) 2.Plant Expansion (60% DD set) . Siemens reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of the project. Project Description The FAU Jupiter Campus Chiller Plant (Building MC20) will undertake an expansion in chilled-water production capacity through the installation of additional equipment. Building MC22, currently cooled by air-cooled chillers, will now be served from MC20. This project includes both the plant expansion work and the underground piping extension and connection to MC22. Building MC22 must stay operational throughout the construction and therefore will require coordination of all the trades contracted to SIEMENS (ESPC Provider) and those contracted to Florida Atlantic University. Coordination of the trades and work schedules will be accomplished through weekly project meetings. Meeting attendance by each contractor will be mandatory. Attendance shall be by a competent representative authorized to speak and advise actions for and on behalf of the subcontractor. The work will be phased in such a manner as allowing the school and maintenance personnel to continue operation with minimal disruptions, i.e. the operation of the rest of the chiller plant will not be affected.
