Sealed bids are invited for the furnishing and delivering of approximately 4,000 tons of Rock Salt (bulk) to the Municipal Public Works Garage at 25 North Jefferson Road, Whippany, New Jersey, as and when required during the contract period beginning January 1, 2026, and ending October 31, 2026. Deliveries must be made within three days upon receipt of the order placed by the Township. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms as designated and required by the specifications, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the bidder's name, address, project name, bid date, and addressed to the Township Clerk, Township of Hanover, 1000 Route 10, P.O. Box 250, Whippany, New Jersey 07981-0250. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the specified amount, payable to the Township of Hanover, to insure execution of the contract. No qualifications, alterations, or escalation clauses are permitted. The successful bidder must execute the contract within ten days after the award. All bidders must comply with State Statutes including the Local Public Contracts Law, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements, New Jersey Business Registration Certificate, and “Pay-to-Play” Disclosure Legislation. The Township reserves the right to hold the bids for sixty days and to reject any or all bids or waive any informality if not detrimental to its interest.
