Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available from Remington and Vernick Engineers. Bids must be submitted on forms prepared by the engineers, enclosed in sealed envelopes displaying the bidder's name and address, and reference to the specific work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, not exceeding $20,000, as well as a certificate letter from a surety company stating it will provide a completion bond. The contract award is contingent on the necessary funds being provided by Egg Harbor City. The award is also subject to obtaining required State, Federal, or Local permits. Bidders must comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., the Americans with Disabilities Act, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Disclosure Statement), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. (Public Works Contractor Registration Act), and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (proof of business registration for the bidder and any named subcontractors).
