The project is for the purchase of landfill scrubber media for Ada County, identified as RFP 26014 Ada County Landfill Scrubber Media Purchase FY26. Proposals are required to be submitted online through the specified Ada County Procurement portal. Sealed proposals must be clearly marked and cannot be accepted by hard copy, mail, facsimile, or e-mail. Information and specifications are available for download at the specified procurement website. The Board of Ada County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. Question Deadline 11/28/2025 at 4:00 PM MT Ada County ("County") seeks to procure media for removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from the landfill gas (LFG) stream at the Ada County Landfill. H2S removal is required to maintain compliance with the County's Title V air permit. The County currently operates six (6) scrubber tanks, each with a capacity of 1,385 cubic feet of media The LFG stream composition ranges from 35-45% methane (CH4), 27-37% carbon dioxide (CO2), 10-35% nitrogen (N2), 1.5-4.5% oxygen (O2), and 650-1000 ppm H2S, at a flow rate of 1,000- 3,500 SCFM. The County operates two to three scrubber tanks at a time, blending scrubbed and bypassed gas to maintain a post-blend H2S concentration below 600 ppm (typically below 500 ppm). The goal of this procurement is to obtain high-efficiency, low-maintenance H2S scrubber media that achieves at least 95% H2S removal without the need for water addition, ensuring consistent compliance with regulatory limits and operational reliability
