Boiler replacement in the Harry Morrison Lab (HML) building, Boise State University, Boise, Idaho. Base Bid description of the Work for this project includes the removal of one gas-fired boiler, heating water pump, expansion tank, and associated accessories in the mechanical room that currently provide heat to the building and replacement with two new condensing boilers, two new floor mounted pumps, a new expansion tank, and new piping accessories. Upgrading the existing direct digital controls as needed for the new equipment. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, including any add alternates, is required. A Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho is required to bid on this work. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Remove (1) existing gas-fired heating water boiler and associated pump, expansion tank, and accessories. Install (2) new high efficient heating water boilers with partially redundant lead / lag control, (2) new heating water pumps with full redundancy, a new expansion tank, piping and accessories along with an update to the direct digital controls. The base bld portion of this project Is to remove (1) existing gas-fired heating water boiler and associated pump, expansion tank, and accessories and replace with (2) new high efficient heating water boilers, (2) new heating water pumps, (1) new expansion tank, piping, and associated accessories. An update to the direct digital controls (DDC) will also be required.
