The Guarantee shall be in the form of either a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check payable to The School District of Palm Beach County. All Bidders must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes. This project includes the complete removal and replacement of roofing systems across two existing campus buildings, totaling approximately 131,386 square feet (Building 1 = 104,400 SF, Building 2 = 26,986 SF). The scope includes demolition of the existing modified bitumen system down to the concrete deck, roof deck inspection, installation of new insulation and a 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system, and updates to rooftop components. All work shall be performed in accordance with the approved construction documents and applicable building codes. Remove the existing modified bitumen roof system and rigid insulation down to the existing concrete deck. - Visually inspect the exposed concrete deck during demolition. Any areas of concern will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. - Install new roof insulation to achieve a minimum R-20, per current Building Code Specifications (BCS). - Install a new 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system, fully adhered or mechanically attached to the deck as specified. - Caulk and seal all existing expansion joints. - All existing rooftop units (RTUs) will remain in place.
