The San Francisco Unified School District is looking for firms to submit statement of qualifications for structural engineering consulting services for District-wide facility, maintenance and modernization projects. Selected firms will be retained by the District for a period of five years on an "as-needed" basis. The selection of a firm in this pool of structural engineering consultants does not automatically guarantee a contract will be awarded. To request copies of the SOQ packet, please contact: Roberto Cabral Email: cabralr@sfusd.edu Structural Engineering firms responding to this request should be familiar and experienced with the procedures and requirements of the Division of the State Architect (D.S.A.) with respect to California public schools and building codes, The role of the Structural Engineer Consultant is to assist SFUSD Facilities department in providing design and construction documents that comply with the latest building codes for projects initiated by the Facilities Department; to assist the District's assigned project team in developing the Owner Project Requirements (or design intent); to assist the District with project closeout and certification with D.S.A. and other related tasks the District may require. Once employed, the selected firms are expected to demonstrate the ability to provide services within time frames that meet District schedule requirements driven by both fiscal and legal considerations.
