The Project Consists of the Removal of Approximately 6,038 Sq. Ft. Total; 3,490 Sq. Ft. (Upper Roof) 2,548 Sq. Ft. (Lower Roof) and is Comprised of Ballasted Epdm Roofing Membrane, Tapered Insulation on 2" Polyisocyanurate, and Vapor Retarder. Roof Replacement to Be Fully Adhered Epdm Membrane Roofing With Layers of Rigid Insulation, Tapered Insulation, and Vapor Barrier, Metal Trim, Reglets, and Copings, Along With Cleaning and Sealing of the Existing Joints in Masonry and Concrete Copings, Along With Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Work as Indicated on the Drawings. The Above Public Work Will Be Let to the Lowest Responsible Bidder and Must Be Performed in Accordance With the Plans, Specifications, and Contracts on File With the City Clerk. The Determination of the Lowest Responsible and Best Bid Will Be Decided by the City Engineer, Subject to Review by the City Council. No Bid Will Be Considered Unless Accompanied by a Certified Check Equal to 10 Percent of the Bid or a Bid Bond in an Equal Amount, Payable to the City as Guaranty That if the Bid is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute and File the Proper Contract and Performance Bond Within Ten Days From the Date the Lowest Responsible Bidder's Bid is Accepted. In Case the Bidder Fails to Execute Such Contract and Performance Bond Within the Time Set by the City, the Check or Bid Bond Shall Be Forfeited to the City as Liquidated Damages.
