Rowan County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide services for design, plans, specifications, cost, and equipment to build two (2) custom electric train locomotives with three (3) coaches each, including installation, warranty, and possible ongoing maintenance support for the Dan Nicholas Park amusement attraction equipment and infrastructure located in Rowan County, North Carolina. All proposals must meet or exceed the timeframe and product/service specifications as outlined. Hard copy proposals will be accepted at the Rowan County Purchasing Department. Submission of a proposal signifies the applicant’s agreement that their proposal and the content thereof are valid for ninety (90) calendar days following the submission deadline and will become part of the contract negotiated with the county. All prices submitted with the proposal shall remain in effect for the ninety (90) day period. Insurance requirements must be met by the awarded applicant before contracting. After publication, all questions must be directed to the Purchasing Director. Contact with County Staff or Board of Commissioners is prohibited and may result in rejection. Rowan County reserves the right to award or reject any or all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities.
