The City of Salisbury intends to engage a qualified engineering firm to design an outdoor training range for the Salisbury Police Department on City owned property with parcel number 322 025 located off Grubbs Ferry Road. The intended use of the range is for outdoor qualification shooting and continuing training in marksmanship by preferably including a rifle and handgun range and design to allow phasing of future infrastructure for training such as a SIMS house and lighting. Selected engineering firm shall design a training range to fit the needs of the Salisbury Police Department with by providing detailed drawings including a 100-yard rifle range along with an adjacent 25- yard handgun range. Included as well in the design is the availability to add a structure to simulate entry or close quarters engagement along with future lighting or other amenities that fit into the profile. LETTER OF INTEREST: The Letter of Interest shall identify any interested firms, including their legal name, address, and telephone number, along with the contact person's name, title, address, email, and telephone number. FIRM REQUIREMENTS: If subcontractors are to be used, they must also be appropriately licensed in their own respective fields The firm must be financially able to undertake the work and assume the liability. The selected firm shall be required to furnish proof of Professional Liability insurance coverage in the amounts required by the City of Salisbury. Must submit a statement from an A- or better Surety Company licensed to do business in North Carolina attesting to the firm's bonding to provide adequate performance and payment bonds for this project. The City will return all confidential, proprietary information to you at the termination of the selection process.
