The work includes furnishing and installing approximately 850 feet of 8 inch ductile iron pipe water line, associated fittings, valves, fire hydrants, water services, tie-ins to existing water mains, thrust restraints, testing and disinfection, permanent surface restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and other work as shown on the contract drawings. All materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors necessary to complete the project as specified in the contract documents must be provided. Bidders must be qualified according to the applicable parts of ORS 279C, registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board, and submit bids on prescribed forms. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish necessary bonds for contract performance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid deemed in the City's best interest. The project location is North Olive Street between W Camellia Street and Hwy 240, Yamhill County, Oregon. Instructions to bidders also require statements regarding resident bidder status, registration, and prevailing wage provisions in accordance with Oregon law. Bids not in compliance with procedures or requirements may be rejected. Work under this project is funded by the City funds. The engineer's estimate for construction is $300,000.
