Renovation of a mixed-use development in Marion, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.
Work to include the complete renovation of the existing grade school cafeteria, the addition of a new weight room within the existing secondary gym, replacement of floor finish in one corridor, the replacement of doors and frames and associated masonry work, installation of a new beam and column supporting masonry wall construction, the replacement of one rooftop unit, and all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work contained within the previously mentioned items. Work included includes removal and installation of floor finish, masonry wall construction, metal framed wall construction, wall finishes, suspended ceiling systems, doors and frames, painting, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and plumbing work. The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, including payment of the applicable prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under the contract. The Owner is exempt from sales tax. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, and quality and serviceability, as determined by the Board. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Facsimile and electronic bids will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bids; no late bids will be accepted.
