Site work for a water / sewer project in Norco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the plans, specifications, and contract documents. The general items of work include approximately 200 linear feet of 18" RCP storm drain pipe, PVC pipes, concrete V-ditch, parkway drains, and catch basins. The storm drain will be located in a horse trail along Parkridge Avenue and will drain into the public right-of-way. Another project site is along a horse trail on North Drive, also draining into the public right-of-way. Additional street improvements on Parkridge Avenue and North Drive include curb and gutter, wall repair, trench repair, and asphalt work. The project duration is 45 working days. Bidders must prepare proposals on approved forms, be familiar with the job site and conditions, and verify addendums before submitting a bid. Bid prices must cover all labor, materials, and incidental costs. Bids must be submitted via the City of Norco's Bid and Vendor Portal. Bids shall cover the entire work, and the City awards bids to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and comply with state labor laws. A valid applicable Contractor's License is required at the time of bid submission and award, and the successful contractor must obtain a City of Norco business license. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per working day for delays. The City retains 5 percent of each progress payment as security for completion. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities as permitted by law. Affirmative action against discrimination in employment is required.
