Renovation of an educational facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The University of Massachusetts Lowell is soliciting bids for the acquisition of Asbestos Abatement Services (Trades Bid) for projects with individual scopes of work. Each general bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the University of Massachusetts Lowell. This project is being electronically bid; hard copy bids will not be accepted. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Mass. G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Mass. G.L., Chapter 149, Section 44A-44J inclusive. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Mass. G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it were in the public interest to do so. Neither personal checks nor cash can be accepted as deposits. Bids are available and submitted on the UMass Supplier Portal via the provided link. Question Deadline 11/26/2025 at 5:00 PM ET: The University's Purchasing Department is authorized to provide any information or respond to any question or inquiry concerning this RFB.
