Completed plans call for site work for a 2,650-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; 135-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; 900-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; and one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.

Sealed bids are invited for the reconstruction of streets within Lake Wales. The work generally includes the construction of concrete sidewalks, approximately 1.25 miles total length for eight streets within the city limits. The contractor shall construct concrete sidewalks to an average depth of 4 inches where indicated. Work includes mobilization, maintenance of traffic, contractor's quality control, demolition of existing concrete, installation of inlet protection systems, mailbox relocations, tree and shrub removal, adjustment of manhole/cleanout valve boxes, installation of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway construction, installation of detectable warning surfaces, performance turf sod placement, relocation of sign posts, striping for crosswalks and stop bars, and other associated items. The project area must be left in a neat and clean condition. All workmanship and materials must comply with Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2025-26) excepting Division 1, Section 9 regarding fuel adjustments and price escalation, and the FY 2025-26 Standard Plans. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and the bidder's name. The City reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids in whole or in part, adjust quantities for budgetary reasons, or accept the bid in the City's best interest. Bid, Public Construction bond, and specified insurance are required to be secured or countersigned by an agency with an established place of business in Florida and licensed to conduct business therein.
