Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, and material for interior safety and exterior roof safety improvements, including a new roof hatch with electric hoist, as well as minor structural, mechanical, and electrical work required for the new hatch and hoist. Lump sum bid proposals are required for the project. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope to the specified address. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 10% of the aggregate bid amount must accompany submissions. Performance, labor, and material payment bonds, along with a certificate of insurance, will be required from the successful bidder. Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois laws regarding labor, prevailing wages, and equal employment opportunity. A 10% requirement applies to participation under the Harper College Business Enterprise Program. Printed or PDF copies of drawings and specifications can be obtained directly from the designated provider. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to award the contract in the best interest of Harper College. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety days after submission without the Board of Trustees' consent. Replies will be issued to all bidders of record in the form of an Addendum. Questions received later than Thursday, December 4, 2025, 5:00 P.M. central daylight time may not be answered.
