Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sandersville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and service station / car wash facility.
Clear 0.9 acre land area and build a 4000 square foot, single story building complete. Location Sandersville, Georgia. See bid advert for full details. The Kaolin Park Expansion - Maintenance Building project includes site work, clearing and grubbing, tree and stump removal, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, fencing, gravel paving, concrete paving, and a metal shop/maintenance building with utilities. This Maintenance Building Project includes approximately 0.9 acres of land disturbance in order to accommodate the building and site work associated with the maintenance building. The building will not require heated and cooled air conditioned space, but does require mechanical ventilation. The scope also includes general site preparation and clean up. Outline scope is general in nature. Work shall be accomplished per project manual, specifications, and drawings. There will be one mandatory pre-bid meeting on site. There will also be a mandatory Pre-Qualification Process for prospective bidders to be considered as "Pre-Qualified". In order to be approved as a "Pre-Qualified" Bidders, the bidder must attend the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on site and also have submitted an AIA A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement. Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Washington County Board of Commissioners in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid (Certified Checks NOT Acceptable). Performance Bond equal to 100 percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. The bond shall be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of The Treasury Circular 570" and have an A.M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A". Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Bidder's Representative shall be Project Manager or Estimator directly responsible for the bidding of this project. Any bidder may be required, at the discretion of the Owner, to furnish evidence satisfactory to the Owner that his proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work called for to assure completion of the contract in a satisfactory manner. All Pre-Qualified Bidders for this project shall attend the Pre-Bid Conference. FAILURE TO ATTEND SHALL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER. Any Bidder that is disqualified may respond to the Owner in writing within 20 days of the Notice of Disqualification as to why the Bidder feels the disqualification is unfounded. The written appeal from the disqualified Bidder will not change the decision already made on this project. However, a favorable appeal may open the way for the Bidder in question to bid on future Washington County Board of Commissioners projects. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract for any part of the work, or the job as a whole.
