The Work consists of structural rehabilitation of the aeration tank(s) exterior walls, including the following: Repair of concrete spalls, scaling, and deterioration along the tanks' exterior. Repair of cracks along the tanks' exterior. Replacement of all expansion joint material along the tanks' exterior. Repair requiring supplemental reinforcement. Priming and coating of aeration tanks exterior. Remove existing tank lettering prior to surface preparation and coating; protect and store for reinstallation in original configuration upon completion of coating work. Bids shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid issued by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Connecticut; or by a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, satisfactory to the Owner. The required Bid Bond(s) certified checks, cashier's checks, or letters of credit shall be made payable to the Owner. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
