Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.
Expected Start Date: March 1, 2026 Expected Finish Date: December 31, 2027 The new platforms will be a fiberreinforced polymer (FRP) plank on steel girder supported by a foundation structure, with electric heated platform sections. The project will include canopies and windscreens across the entire platform length, LED lighting, backup generator power, relocated communications equipment, and communications and security upgrades. The work includes concrete, structural steel, micro-pile foundations, metal roof deck, premanufactured FRP panels and stairs, handrails and guardrails, metal windows, flashing, light fixtures, conduit, wiring, electrical switch gear and panels, and station signage All bids will be opened and read aloud in a virtual meeting. If the Bidder is a small contractor or minority business enterprise pursuant to C.G.S. Section 4a-60gm it may provide in lieu of a bid bond, a letter of credit in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the bid amount if the estimated value is less than One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) and not less than Twenty Five Percent (25%) of the bid amount, if the estimated value is One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) or greater. Said surety shall be issued by a surety that is licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut and is rated A-(VII) or better by A.M. Best.
