The Work included in this Contract generally consists of the Construction of a new 8-inch water main in North Church Street from the intersection of Fonville Street and North Church Street to the intersection of North Church Street and U.S. Highway 80 in Tuskegee, Alabama to include approximately 3,150 linear feet of new 8-inch Ductile Iron Class 235 water main, appurtenances, connections to the existing system, 15 water service renewals and seven (7) fire hydrant assemblies, approximately 3,000 linear feet of 4 and 6 inch water main abandonment; storm drainage structure improvements, sidewalk and curb and gutter improvements; and approximately 4,793 squared yard of asphalt milling in North Church Street asphalt and asphalt resurfacing. Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
