Site work for a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists of cleaning, Closed Circuit Television Video (CCTV) inspection, and rehabilitation of a force main at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility. The force main includes approximately 801 linear feet of 72-inch reinforced concrete pressure pipe (RCPP), 177 linear feet of 72 to 78-inch steel pipe, a 72-inch butterfly valve, and 222 linear feet of 78-inch RCPP, with a total length of approximately 1,200 linear feet. Cleaning and CCTV inspection are required prior to rehabilitation. The RCPP segments require spot repair at five locations, which involves surface preparation, abrasive or centrifugal wheel blasting, repair with repair mortar, and recoating with a high-build epoxy-based liner. The steel pipe segment and butterfly valve must be cleaned and prepared for coating using abrasive or centrifugal wheel blasting and recoated with a high-build epoxy-based liner. The contractor is responsible for supplying all equipment and major power required for the work.
