Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Architectural, mechanical, and electrical modifications are to be undertaken at the Control Building (STR 05) and Chemical Building (STR 30). The existing dechlorination building is to be demolished (STR 85). New chemical dosing pumps and tanks are to be installed in STR 30. Structural and electrical modifications are to accompany the installation of a new UV disinfection system in the existing UV disinfection effluent channel (STR 50). New rotary lobe sludge transfer pumps are to be installed to replace the existing progressive cavity pumps in the Digester Building (STR 60) and Sludge Dewatering Building (STR 70). The existing potable water hydropneumatic tank is to be replaced with a full acceptance bladder tank in STR 60. A new pelletizer system and all associated equipment and appurtenances are to be installed in the Sludge Dryer Building (STR 75). Widespread VFD replacement is also to be undertaken throughout the Facility. Matt Rockweiler, PE, (608) 355-8846 | mrockweiler@msa-ps.com Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs) to submit bid proposals. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and primary contractor, in awarding subcontracts, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. Admin. Code. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractor. The Contractor shall conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436, including all iron and steel products used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
