The intent of this ITN is to obtain an E-Rate eligible leased lit or leased dark fiber WAN and related services from a qualified vendor. The WAN network will serve only LCSB students and staff, providing dedicated service to each site. Respondents may propose Leased Lit Fiber (LLF) or Leased Dark Fiber (LDF) solutions that meet the requirements outlined in this ITN. Question Deadline 12/03/2025 at 5:00 PM ET The School District of Leon County, Florida solicits sealed Replies from interested, available, and qualified firms to provide a turnkey solution for a leased lit or leased dark fiber wide area network (WAN) and related services. The District and the School Board are created under Article IX, Section 4, of the Constitution of the State of Florida. The School Board is an independent taxing and reporting authority responsible for the operation, control, and supervision of all free public schools within the school district, subject to the Florida K-20 Education Code, Chapters 1000 - 1013, F.S. The Board consists of five (5) elected officials responsible for, among other things, the adoption of policies that govern the operation of District public schools. The elected Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the administration and management of the schools within the applicable parameters of state laws, State Board of Education Rules, and School Board policies. The District provides a standard, traditional curriculum to a student body of approximately 31,000 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade and 4,000 full-time staff across suburban and rural areas covering 702 square miles. The District also provides adult education at several facilities during regular and non-school hours. In addition to the standard curriculum, the District offers a variety of specialized technical training programs for the higher grade levels. All LCSB sites included in this ITN are provided on Attachment I, Cost Reply. LCSB does not prescribe aggregation hub/core ring sites; all proposed network designs meeting or exceeding the goals outlined will be considered. Internet connectivity is provided separately by two 10 Gbps circuits totalling 20 Gbps. Internet access is not requested on the solicitation. The District reserves the right to withdraw this ITN at any time, and by doing so, it assumes no liability to any Respondent. The District reserves the right to reject any Replies received in response to this ITN. The District reserves the right to waive Minor Irregularities when doing so would be in the best interest of the District. At its exclusive option, the District may correct Minor Irregularities but is under no obligation to do so. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any Bid and to reject any or all Bids in whole or part, with or without cause, and/or accept the Bid that in its judgment will be in the best interest of the School Board of Leon County, Florida.
