Renovation of a power facility in Tallahassee, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The City of Tallahassee needs to replace several existing 125VDC nicad substation battery strings including replacement of the hardware and connection cables. Approximately 2 battery banks per year for the next 3-5 years will need to be replaced. The City will install the strings but would like to have the batteries commissioned at the factory prior to shipment. These batteries are used in a switchgear application. While replacing the strings we would like to replace the 2-step non-seismic battery racks. The items will need to be shipped to the Utility Supply Center (USC) at 2641 Municipal Way, Tallahassee, FL 32304 with delivery hours Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. The bid shall include recycling of the existing battery banks consisting of 94 cells each. The bid will be based on 2 battery banks.
