Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Chesapeake, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade clubhouse / community center.

Sealed bids will be received for the Chesapeake Community Center HVAC Improvement Project. Bids must be in accordance with specifications and submitted on forms available from the Lawrence County Port Authority. Each bidder must furnish a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, equal to 5% of the bid amount, provided by a surety company licensed in Ohio, or a certified check, cashier's check, or money order in the same amount. Each proposal must include the full names of the submitting parties and all persons interested. Bidders must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements per Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, and relevant Governor's Executive Orders. All contractors are required to have a drug-free workplace program. Bidders must ensure nondiscrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, or ancestry. The Port Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and enter into contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. To be given consideration, request for such interpretation must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
