Sealed bids are sought for the gym roof replacement at Jefferson School for the Lyndhurst School District Board of Education. All bidders must be listed on the official bidders list, and any bid from a contractor not on this list will be rejected. Bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with every requirement in the instructions and specifications. Bids must be marked in a sealed envelope with the project name, 'gym Roof Replacement at Jefferson School,' on the front, and delivered to the Lyndhurst School District Board of Education at 420 Fern Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid, not exceeding $20,000. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development per the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bids must also include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for both the bidder and all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the Law Against Discrimination and Affirmative Action requirements. Bidders or their subcontractors must be classified in discipline C070 - Roofing - Built Up by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction. Only bidders not on the state or federal debarred, suspended, or disqualified list are eligible. The contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets all material requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities if it is in their best interest.
