A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work includes clearing and grubbing, grading, grinding existing asphalt concrete, paving with new asphalt concrete, reconstruction of curb, gutter, and curb ramps to meet current ADA standards, construction of new sidewalk, installation of new pedestrian street lights, installation of thermoplastic striping and markings, installation of traffic signs and posts, installation of new catch basin, and adjustment of utility manhole frames, covers and other utility boxes to finished grade and other work as shown on plans or as specified in the specifications. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid. A valid Class A license or other combination of any Class C licenses that constitutes a majority of the contract work must be in the possession of the successful bidder at the time the bid is submitted. The time limit for the completion of work is one hundred twenty-five (125) working days. The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th calendar day after the contract award. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
