Stone masonry For Fireplace/chimney and Columns for New Construction Of City Park Pavilion. From Properly Licensed Firms for Work Associated With the Construction of an Extra-large, Solid Masonry Wood Burning Chimney, As Designed in Part by Mbl Architects. Chimney is 14' Long by 7' Wide by 27' Tall. The Overall Footprint is 30' Long by 10' Wide When Including Seating Hearths And Multi-level Built-in Counters And Shelves. A Bid Bond is Required and Must Be Included in Your Bid Amount. The City of Goshen Reserves the Right to Waive Any Irregularities, Reject Any or All Bids, and to Accept the Bid Deemed Most Advantageous to The City. Additional key features as per design- Extra-large 7' wide double sided wood burning firebox with stone, fire brick, terracotta interiors (custom masonry throat, smoke shelf, smoke chamber, and pipe stack) Main Fireplace/center of pavilion installation (including the multilevel seating hearths) shall consist of large native field stone, structurally placed, not as a veneer over concrete block. Double hearths, large built-in TV nook (large enough to accommodate an 80" flat screen television and closure mechanism), stone mantle, and single stone chimney cap 7' long flat French style lintel arches above both fireplaces Chimney stonework is completely structural (as opposed to masonry & can serve as load bearing structure for any truss or span members) and also features battered corners beginning above the firebox Stonework itself features large natural native field stones laid in a drystack look with 1/2 " maximum mortar joints, 1/2 "-1" deep) Stone is cut and placed in Ashlar pattern with oversized Quoin corners Hearths, chimney cap, lintel countertops are all single, specially cut and/or polished feature native stones with a thickness no less than 5". Within the stonework there will be six quad outlet electrical boxes installed to accommodate a quad electric box under each front and rear beneath the fireplace close to the floor, and at each transition along the seating hearths. Natural gas fire starting bar will be plumbed into the extra-large fireplace during the construction of the fireplace (must work with plumber for installation). * Additionally, there are 2 sheer wall columns at the front of the pavilion, approximately 5' x 2' x 13' which require the same stonework style consisting of natural native field stone. Please see detailed construction of front sheer columns as detailed by MBL Architects for masonry with natural native field stone veneer having a depth of no less than 5" to 6" (not specifically detailed on MBL plans).
