Skanska is soliciting bids from all interested subcontractors and suppliers, including certified Small, Veteran, Minority & Woman owned companies, for RFP 061 Asphalt Paving - WSDOT Stage 2 & Permanent HMA related to the SR520 Portage Bay Bridge Replacement. Relevant project information, including plans and specifications, can be accessed via BuildingConnected or by appointment at the Skanska office. Bidders are required to submit their bids and RFIs through BuildingConnected. There are established participation goals for the following groups: 5% PWSBE, 3% VOB, 10% MBE, and 6% WBE. Bidders who are PWSBE, VOB, MBE, or WBE firms should provide their certification with their proposals. All subcontractors should indicate any lower-tier PWSBE/VOB/MBE/WBE participation included in their proposals, as this will be evaluated along with pricing. Skanska will assist qualified subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, materials, and supplies. Subcontractors may be required to provide a bond, with Skanska covering the premium up to 1%. Skanska may break out scope packages and adjust schedules to maximize participation of PWSBE/VOB/MBE/WBE.
