The work covered by this section consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work required for the prevention of environmental pollution during, and as a result of, construction operations under this contract except for those measures set forth in other technical provisions of these specifications. For the purpose of these specifications, environmental pollution is defined as the presence of chemical, physical, or biological elements or agents which adversely affect human health or welfare; unfavorably alter ecological balances of importance of human life; affect other species of importance to man; or degrade the utility of the environmental pollution requiring consideration of air, water, and land, and involves noise and solid waste-management, as well as other pollutants. This section applies to work at all sites. The specifications, scope of work, and all pertinent dates are available in the bid packet and instructions. Sealed bids will be accepted from Indian and Non-Indian bidders.
