Queen's University is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting firms to undertake comprehensive Building Condition Assessments (BCAs) for three heritage campus buildings: Ontario Hall, Old Meds Hall, and Kingston Hall. The intent of this RFP is to solicit a detailed scope of services that will result in a robust evaluation of current building systems, envelope condition including fenestration, equipment & system lifecycle forecasting, energy modeling, and the development of strategic capital investment scenarios, including full-building renovation and geothermal implementation. Note that in all scenarios as per Queen's Building Standards comfort cooling is to be added. The successful proponent will be required to deliver the following for each building (but not limited to): Building Condition Assessment Reports including Photographic and Drawings Record Critical Issues Log Accessibility and Code Compliance Summary Digital Asset Database Envelope energy performance improvement options analysis Lifecycle Costing and Value Proposition Analysis Class D Renovation Cost Estimate Energy Model Report and Geothermal Conversion Plan Executive Summary for Senior Leadership Presentation Start Date: Work on site can begin anytime after contract award.
