The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for construction services for the Harold Kaveolook K-12 Replacement School - Phase 2 in Kaktovik, Alaska. The work includes the construction of a new 21,118 square foot steel-framed, single-story addition to the Harold Kaveolook K-12 Replacement School on the school site in Kaktovik, Alaska. Project Administrator: Eric Hernandez - eric.hernandez@north-slope.org - 907-852-0489 Ext. 6224 Question Deadline 01/05/2026 at 12:00 PM AKT Every request for interpretation shall be made in writing and delivered to the Borough Representative or as may otherwise be established by the Bid documents. The Work of the Harold Kaveolook K-12 Replacement School - Phase 1 has been issued as a separate contract and is ongoing. 1. The previous school building was lost to fire in 2020. Wood and steel piles remained in the ground across the site. The site was contaminated by previous fuel oil spills. 2. The previous contract included the following work: 1. Testing and removal of contaminated soil, 2. Placement and grading of new clean fill, and 3. Installation of new piles for use in the construction of this project, Phase 2. 3. Work remaining to be completed on the site includes: 1. Piling Installation by April 30, 2026 DEC File Number 350.38.007
