Site work for a water / sewer project in Burien, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of December 15, 2025, bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** For the following Capital Improvement Project. The project consists of telemetry sites upgrades at Supply Stations 139 and 140 and at the 500,000-gallon reservoir site including the following work: Replace telemetry panel, radio, instrumentation, enclosure, and appurtenances at Supply Stations 139 and 140. Flow data will be received from SPU flow meters at each site and inputs from existing or additional pressure transducers will be included for each site. Replace telemetry panel, radio, enclosure, and appurte-nances at the District's 500,000-gallon reservoir/pump station site including panel, radio and active inputs and outputs. Incorporate District-furnished radio equipment into each telem-etry panel. The work will occur at three sites: Supply Station 139: At the intersection of 10th Avenue SW and SW 149th Street 500.000-gallon Reservoir: At the corner of 4th Avenue SW and SW 158th Street Supply Station 140: North of the intersection of Des Moines Memorial Drive S and S 160th Street The sites are located in Sections 19 and 20, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W. M., King County, Washington in the City of Burien. The bidder shall have completed at least three (3) telemetry projects for public agencies within the past five years. Completed projects shall be projects with construction cost of at least $150,000 or more each. Such experience shall be documented as directed on the proposal form in the project manual. The bid must be submitted on the original proposal form provided in the project manual and shall be accompanied by a mandatory bidder responsibility checklist, bid proposal deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the king county water district no. 49 for a sum of not less than 5 percent of the total bid. The bid shall not be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal deposit. The engineer's estimate of construction cost is $385,000, not including sales tax. No bid-der may withdraw its bid after the time announced for the bid opening or before the award and execution of the contract unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days. Notice to proceed with construction of this project will not be issued until such time that all necessary permits are issued and received by the district. The work must be completed within two hundred seventy (270) calendar days from the notice to proceed. The bidder shall direct any questions to mr. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, and to make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the district.
