An acceptable Bid Bond, cashier's check, or certified check payable to Bossier Parish Police Jury in an amount not less than five-percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract amount. A Maintenance Bond is also required in the amount of ten-percent (10%) from the date of final acceptance. Any surety bond written for a public works project shall be written by a surety or insurance company on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A-rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent of policy holders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide or by an insurance company that is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents and is Licensed to write surety bonds. This is a Three Hundred and Twenty (320) calendar day project. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day. Bids shall only be accepted from contractors who are licensed under Louisiana contractors licensing law.
