The Miami-Dade Aviation Department is seeking qualified contractors to perform critical on-call services and emergency/priority maintenance work at its facilities under a work order-based program. The program is established for a period of 18 months, with the possibility of re-advertising based on results. Four contractors for the Building Contractor trade will be selected, each with a maximum contract value not to exceed $200,000. Selection is based on competitive unit prices (including contractor mark-up), qualifications, experience, past performance, availability, and capacity. The program does not guarantee that the full contract amount will be issued. Work is authorized as needed via Work Orders at the sole discretion of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, and all work must be performed according to set schedules, in compliance with security, permitting, and regulatory requirements. Contractors must respond to emergency calls within two hours and be available 24/7. All labor classifications on the bid form must have a value greater than zero. Proposals must include unit prices, contractor mark-up, qualifications, proof of required experience, availability, and capacity. The contract may cover projects at any Miami-Dade Aviation Department facility, and contractors must comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, as well as sustainable building and energy standards. Minimum qualifications include a valid contractor license, five years of experience, and a satisfactory record of completed relevant projects.
