Site work for a transportation facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade transportation facility.
The Miami-Dade Aviation Department is seeking qualified contractors to perform critical on-call services and emergency/priority maintenance work at its facilities under a work order-based program established for 18 months. Two contractors for the plumbing trade, with a maximum contract value not to exceed $200,000 each, will be selected based on competitive unit prices, qualifications, experience, past performance, availability, and capacity. Selected contractors must agree to respond to emergency/priority calls within two hours, be available 24/7, obtain all necessary permits, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws as well as specific county requirements, including security, background checks, and insurance. The contractor must also submit proposals with detailed work and cost breakdowns after site meetings and participate in mandatory pre-bid conference calls. The work could take place at any MDAD-operated airport facility, and no guarantee of work is provided. Minimum qualifications include holding a valid license for the trade, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, a proven safety program, and satisfactory past performance evaluations. 1. This work order- based program for MDAD emergency/priority work shall be established for a period of 18 months. At the end of the 18 months, MDAD shall evaluate the results of the program and, if the results merit, shall re-advertise this solicitation to increase competition. 2. Two (2) contractors for Plumbing trade with a corresponding maximum contract value not to exceed $200,000 shall be selected to participate in this work order- based program. Selection of contractors shall be made by MDAD and shall be based on competitive unit prices (including contractor mark-up), qualifications, experience, past performance, availability and capacity. Two (2) Request-for-Price Quotation (RPQ) shall be advertised for Plumbing trade. In order to increase opportunities for firms and to provide flexibility for MDAD, prospective contractors shall only be granted one award in the specific trade. However, prospective contractors may be awarded contracts in different trades, whether or not such contractor has been awarded a contract under any other trade classification, if they possess the required valid license to perform work in those different trades. 3. The maximum contract value for this RPQ shall not exceed $200,000 therefore contractors shall not be required to provide a Payment and Performance Bond. 4. Bidders are required/responsible for participating in the MANDATORY conference call. Failure to participate in the MANDATORY conference call shall result in the corresponding contractor/company being considered non-responsive. Contractors are extremely encouraged to call 5 minutes before the scheduled meeting time for a roll call. Late arrivals to the conference call shall result in the contractor/company being considered non-responsive. The conference call will be recorded The deadline to submit RFls is no later than three (3) working days before the bid opening date and time specified on the RPQ and Invitation to Bid.
