Renovation of an educational facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Project consists of removing the existing centralized sound system serving the pool, gymnasiums, black box theater, main theater and commons areas, and replacing with a new distributed sound system in each area. Any questions regarding the meaning of any portion of the contract documents shall be submitted to the Architect/Engineer for interpretation PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The entire project is within the Millard West High School campus,5710 S. 176th Ave, Omaha NE. The project consists of removal of the existing centralized sound system that currently serves the pool, gymnasiums, black box theater, main theater, and commons area and replacing it with a new distributed audio system. B. Work under this contract includes all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner, the work required for the construction of the West High School Sound System Replacement project. C. Renovations will take place during staff and student summer vacation but various areas of the facility will be occupied by summer school activities. Contractors and WHS staff will work closely to isolate areas of work. D. Work in the facility shall be allowed during normal working hours throughout the project, however, the contractor must provide, at all times, for clear exit paths, proper lighting, and fire/smoke protection (subject to approval of all authorities having jurisdiction) and protection against any and all fumes and odors caused by construction activities. The contractor shall halt or modify any activities the Owner determines to be disruptive in any manner to their continued use of the building. E. In addition to any temporary walls shown in these documents, temporary walls may be required in areas of construction depending on the type of work being performed in certain areas.
