Renovation of a museum in Dover, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade museum.
The project involves designing the first-floor bathrooms to be ADA compliant at the Johnson Victrola Museum. The work includes replacement of all existing plumbing and lighting fixtures in the gang bathrooms, installation of new underground sanitary piping, manholes, and civil work. Security fixtures, specifically designed for corrections installation, are required and must be pre-approved to ensure they meet institutional requirements. Sanitary mains will be routed outside the building as noted in the project assessment. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination, and Minority Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-Owned Business Enterprises, and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. Question Deadline 01/15/2026 Bidders or Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of Bids.
