This section specifies the procedures for removal of lead-based paint/lead containing glazing and disposal of removed materials as part of the Highmark Stadium demolition located at One Bills Drive in Buffalo, New York. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK The scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Administration Building Separation a. Demolition of interior components at the tunnel (040) level. b. Demolition of interior components at the basement (000) level. c. Infill of in-wall openings and fire sealant installation at the basement level. d. Wall demolition at the tunnel level between existing locker room and new stairway e. Installation of new exiting stairway f. Installation of new fire rated corridor wall g. Installation of new and replacement of existing doors h. Fire sealant installation at tunnel corridor wall penetrations i. Installation of new concrete flooring at ramp of tunnel j. Installation of steel lintels at areas indicated on drawings k. Removal and replacement of tunnel bridge 2. Utility Separation Building a. Installation of new floor drain 3. Allowance G-1: Misc Finishes Repairs (see section 01 2100) 4. Allowance G-2: Sealant Installation (see section 01 2100) B. SITE CIVIL WORK The Scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Miscellaneous Paving (Mill and Overlay and Full Depth) a. This task will be to address asphalt areas that are determined deficient by the Buffalo Bills and consultant team. Project areas will be determined in Spring 2026 prior to construction, by a representative of the Buffalo Bills. Base bid quantity for Mill and Overlay of 10,000 SF. 2. Admin Building Water Service a. This task will be to provide a new 4" PVC water service from the end of the Commissary water loop and extend to be within 5' from the outside of the Old Administration building. This task includes all associated demolition and restoration. 3. Salt Barn Water Service a. This task will be to provide a new 1" HDPE water service from near the commissary building to a new hose bib at the southeast corner of the Salt Barn. This service is to be installed by horizontal directional drilling to avoid open cutting. This task includes all associated demolition and restoration. 4. Cut and Cap 16" ACP a. This task will be to cut and cap the existing 16" ACP domestic water service for the stadium. The service will be abandoned in place and filled with flowable fill. This task includes all associated demolition and restoration. 5. Team Store Sanitary Connection a. This task will include the installation of new 6" gravity SDR-35 sanitary sewer service from the Team Store to the existing sanitary line installed in 2024 as part of the new Stadium project. This task includes all associated demolition and restoration. C. PLUMBING WORK The Scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Administration Building Separation a. Disconnect and remove existing fixtures and piping throughout stadium and section of building being demolished. b. Demo. toilet room within 100 level to make space for duct work. c. Demo. Fixtures within Visitor's locker room. 2. Water Service Relocation a. Remove and relocate sections of existing domestic water services to back feed building. 3. Disconnect and remove one of two existing storage tanks a. Remove existing storage tank for electrical gear, and reroute piping to maintain operation. D. MECHANICAL WORK The Scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Training Center - Heat Pump Replacement (Drawing M-105) a. Remove heat pumps as shown on drawings and replace with new heat pumps. 2. Training Center - "Second Floor Server Room" Cooling Unit Replacement (Drawings M-106 & M-107) a. Remove existing cooling unit as shown on drawings and replace with new split system with additional capacity. 3. Training Center - Training Room Air Unit Replacement (Drawing M-107) a. Remove existing roof top HVAC air unit and replace with new roof top HVAC air unit. 4. Administration Building (Drawings M-101, M-102, M-103, & M-104) a. Disconnect and remove existing HVAC systems to be demolished with the existing stadium. b. Provide drawings / specifications to maintain existing systems to remain to service the maintained buildings HVAC systems. Coordinate all shut-downs of existing HVAC systems with the Buffalo Bills. Shut-downs to be completed in "OFF" hours or weekends as coordinated with the Buffalo Bills. A. ELECTRICAL WORK The Scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Training Center - Electrical work for Heat Pump Replacements: a. Disconnect existing heat pump(s) to be replaced and provide electrical connection to new heat pump(s) as indicated on Drawings. b. Refer to Mechanical Work scope Item "1" for associated Mechanical work. 2. Training Center - Snowmelt System a. Disconnect existing Snowmelt system and remove electrical components including all panels, feeders, contactors, etc. b. Refer to drawings for equipment locations and removals. 3. Training Center - Fiber a. Provide fiber cabling as indicated on drawings to pump house, guard house, and team store. b. Provide fiber from Second Floor MDF to first floor FACP. c. Refer to drawings for existing conduits and fiber quantities. 4. Stadium - Feeder to SB-9S: a. Terminate feeder as indicated on drawings to Substation 9S transformer. 5. Existing Parking Lot Lighting: a. Provide power from SB-9S to exterior parking lot lighting to remain. Intercept existing branch circuits and re-feed from SB-9S. Abandon existing branch circuits connected to Stadium distribution. 6. Field House - EM Lighting a. Provide new exit signage as indicated and re-circuit exit signs and emergency lighting along wall exiting to practice field. 7. Commissary - Power to Gate a. Provide branch circuit to existing power sliding gate. 8. Admin Building: a. Rework electrical distribution and relocate existing electrical equipment to accommodate stadium demolition. b. Relocation of switchboard SB-9A, removal of switchboard SB-9, modification of feeders, etc. c. Refer to drawings for single line diagrams, floor plans, etc. 9. Allowance E-1: Miscellaneous Wiring & Conduit Modifications (see section 01 2100) 10. Allowance E-2: Stark BMS Work A. All work under this contract shall be performed in strict conformance with applicable federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations. B. The specifications are to be used in conjunction with the contract drawings for this project. A copy of each shall be maintained at the job site at all times. C. Contractors shall verify all project conditions and material quantities prior to bidding the project. D. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining any Site-Specific Variances needed to complete the abatement work. Provide copy of Variance Petitions to Owner's Representative for review and approval prior to submission to Dept. Of Labor, Engineering Services for processing. E. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, employee training, permits, insurance and equipment to remove asbestos and building materials in locations indicated on the following contract drawings: 1) HM000gn_Hazardous Materials Abatement Plan - 000 Level Area G and N A. All work under this contract shall be performed in strict conformance with applicable federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations. B. The specifications are to be used in conjunction with the contract drawings for this project. A copy of each shall be maintained at the job site at all times. C. Contractors shall verify all project conditions and material quantities prior to bidding the project. Material quantities listed in any documents provided by the Owner are approximations only and are NOT TO BE considered accurate for bidding purposes. D. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, employee training, permits, insurance, and equipment to remove lead-based paint and/or components covered with lead-based paint in locations indicated on contract drawings. E. General Notes: 1) All Lead removal and subsequent clean up activities shall be performed in accordance with these specifications and all applicable OSHA and USEPA Regulations and the HUD Guidelines as indicated in section 1.08. 2) Waste Disposal Requirements shall be determined by sampling of a composite of the waste material for analysis by TCLP. 3) The Contractor shall conduct TCLP sampling for Waste Stream classification.
