Request for Tenders shall be awarded to the lowest compliant Bid by a Canadian or Non-U.S. Business, or U.S. Business, where the U.S. Business' Bid is at least 25% lower in price than the lowest compliant Bid submitted by a Canadian Business or Non-U.S. Business. Duration in months: 60 Question Deadline 01/06/2026 at 11:59 PM ET Each year, hazardous trees totalling approximately 12,000 centimeters of diameter at breast height (DBH) require removal on road allowances, in parks and cemeteries, along trails, and in other open spaces throughout the City of Hamilton's urban and rural areas. By way of this Contract the City seeks to partner with an established arborist firm to undertake the removal of hazardous trees, including site remediation where applicable, on an as needed basis. There is no bid security, performance security or labour and material payment security required for this Request for Tenders. Certificate of Zoning Verification and Property Report - Prior to Award of Contract The City reserves the right to request, prior to the award of the Contract, proof that a Bidder is in compliance with the municipal zoning by-laws within the City of Hamilton regarding the property(ies) at which the Bidder is proposing to: a) Operate its snow removal or landscaping business to provide the Services described in this Tender; and b) Store its Unit to be used in providing the Services described in this Tender. The Bidder shall provide such proof in the form of a Certificate of Zoning Verification Report ("Certificate") issued by the City of Hamilton Planning Division for each property. Failure of the Bidder to provide the City's Procurement Division with the required Certificate(s) within ten Business Days of request by the City may result in the rejection of the Bidder's Bid. Each Certificate shall have an issuance date of no more than 30 calendar days prior to the closing date of this Tender. There are no scheduled site meetings for this Request for Tenders. Accommodations for Bidders with Disabilities In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), the City of Hamilton will accommodate for a disability, ensuring full and equitable participation throughout the bid process. If a Bidder requires this Request for Tenders in a different format to accommodate a disability, the Bidder must contact the Procurement Specialist as soon as possible and in any event prior to the closing date. The Request for Tenders in the different format will be issued only to the requesting Bidder and all Addenda will be issued in such different format only to the requesting Bidder. TRADE AGREEMENTS This Request for Tenders is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
