The City of Hamilton requires the Services of a competent and qualified consulting firm with OSIM (Ontario Structure Inspection Manual) inspection knowledge and experience to conduct detailed visual inspections of the City's bridge, culvert and tunnels structures and enter the collected data into the City's BMS program to meet the legislative requirements of the Ontario Regulations 472/10 under the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act (PTHIA). Additional investigations, such as enhanced OSIM inspections (including confined space entry walk-thru inspections), detailed condition surveys (substructure and superstructure), structural evaluation and fatigue analysis, and structural monitoring, would be required for certain structures. All Work shall be completed under the direction of, and stamped by, a qualified professional engineer experienced in OSIM bridge inspections and shall be completed in accordance with the latest editions of applicable codes, legislation, regulations and the most current accepted industry standards, guidelines, procedures, trainings, and practices related to inspections. Proposal security: $30,000.00. The City will only accept a digital proposal bond in an electronically verifiable and enforceable (e-Bond) format. Performance security (bond only accepted): 50% of the yearly amount of the Total Contract Price. There is no labour and material payment security required for this Request for Proposals.
