The work consists of supplying connectors and couplings as specified in the bid for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Bidders are required to provide the specified items with detailed descriptions, including manufacturer names and part numbers, even if the item matches the specification exactly. Alternate equivalent items must include supporting literature/specifications with the bid. All delivered materials must be properly labeled and are subject to inspection. Orders not in compliance with labeling or specification requirements may be returned at the vendor's expense. No substitutions are allowed; any inability to deliver exactly as specified must be reported immediately to the purchasing agent. All shipments must include appropriate packing slips with required information. Delivery hours, labeling requirements, and sample/prototype evaluation requirements are strictly defined. Bids are only accepted electronically and must be firm for 90 days. The department reserves the right to award contracts based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid and may reject any or all bids. Additional preferences may apply to eligible local small businesses or transitional employers.
