Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Stockton, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

** As of January 28,2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded by the end of February.** Sealed proposals are requested for City-Owned Baseball Field Repair/Improvements for Project No. WP24036. Proposals must be submitted as one packet with a Non-Collusion Declaration and all required documents and information. Pricing must be submitted separately in a sealed envelope. Proposers must be licensed in accordance with state laws. The process encourages the use of local Stockton firms and compliance with the Local Business Preference Ordinance and the City's Local Employment Ordinance. The successful proposer and subconsultants must pay prevailing wage rates. The contract will be awarded to the proposer who best meets the City's needs, but the City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or re-advertise for proposals or provide the work to be done by the City. Bid date desp- The proposal shall also be submitted on a USB flash drive clearly labeled with the proposers name. An electronic copy of the cost proposal should not be included on the flash drive. The cost proposal must be in a sealed envelope separate from the proposal. The City of Stockton (City) Public Works Department Parks Section is seeking proposals to sign a contract with a contractor who shall provide ballfield maintenance and repair services. Services generally consist of but are not limited to: excavation and removal of unsuitable infield materials; import, placement, grading, compaction, and dragging of approved infield clay and cinder mix; installation of base anchors, home plates, and pitching rubbers; reconstruction of pitching mounds, pitching lanes, pitching tables, and pitching circles; and selective sod cutting, edging, and leveling. All work shall be completed in compliance with the most current editions of the Official Rules of Softball as published by USA Softball, Inc., and the Official Rules of Baseball as published by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball. location- 1. SCOPE The extent of work in this Section includes the provision of materials and labor for the installation of base anchors, home plates and the pitching rubber. 2. STANDARDS Unless otherwise shown or specified, all materials and methods shall conform to the appropriate current sections of: A. City Standards for Public Improvements. B. The State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Standard Specifications (DTSS) except for measurement and payment requirements. C. Applicable ASTM Specifications as they reasonably apply to this work, except for measurement and payment requirements. D. Official Rules of Softball by USA Softball Inc. E. Official Rules of Baseball by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball. 3. SUBMITTALS Materials or equipment of the same type shall be of the same brand shown. All materials shall be new and in good condition. PART TWO - PRODUCTS 1. MATERIALS A. Bases: One total set to be provided by City to verify proper base anchor alignment. B. Base Anchors: Shall be CH 1 1/2 " Heavy Duty Base Anchor (Model 301-660-319) system as distributed by Beacon Athletics. C. Home Plate: 3" solid rubber, 40 lbs., double-sided as manufactured by Bulldog and distributed by Beacon Athletics. D. Pitching Block: 6" by 24" Champro Four-way Pitching Rubber as distributed by Beacon Athletics.
