Proposals must be submitted as one packet with a Non-Collusion Declaration and all required documents and information. Pricing must be submitted separately in a sealed envelope. The process encourages the use of local Stockton firms and compliance with the Local Business Preference Ordinance and the City's Local Employment Ordinance. The successful proposer and subconsultants must pay prevailing wage rates. The contract will be awarded to the proposer who best meets the City's needs, but the City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or re-advertise for proposals or provide the work to be done by the City. The City of Stockton (City) Public Works Department Parks Section is seeking proposals to sign a contract with a contractor who shall provide ballfield maintenance and repair services. Services generally consist of but are not limited to: excavation and removal of unsuitable infield materials; import, placement, grading, compaction, and dragging of approved infield clay and cinder mix; installation of base anchors, home plates, and pitching rubbers; reconstruction of pitching mounds, pitching lanes, pitching tables, and pitching circles; and selective sod cutting, edging, and leveling.
