No definite date for the rebid.** Ingham County seeks proposals from experienced vendors for the purpose of entering into a contract for making improvements at the Lake Lansing water level control structure site, consisting of tree removal, clearing, and demolition and removal of a wooden deck and wooden dock, and all associated construction as proposed. Ingham County is the seventh largest county in Michigan and the county seat is in Mason. In 2024, Ingham County government had an annual operating budget of approximately $317 million (+1.56%) from 2023 and 1,641 employees. The organization is comprised of more than 30 departments providing a broad range of services to its citizens from public safety to parks and recreation. Ingham County covers 556 square miles of suburban, urban, and rural areas and has a population of approximately 284,900 residents (2020 U.S. Census). Ingham County is home to State of Michigan government, Michigan State University, General Motors, University of Michigan Health -Sparrow, and Jackson National Life. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Guarantee shall be in the form of a bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to the County of Ingham. Bid guarantee shall run for a period of not less than ninety (90) days. If the successful proposer fails to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within ten (10) business days after receipt of Notice of Award, such guarantee shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Ingham County reserves the right to increase or decrease any or all of the proposed quantities. The quantities listed in the RFP may be approximate and are stated solely to provide a uniform base of calculation for comparison of proposals and award of contract. No guarantee is made by the County that the actual quantities will correspond with the proposed quantities. The Contractor will be paid based upon his/her lump sum and/or unit prices proposal and any alternates accepted by the County and as may be further modified by Change Order for work added or deleted from the project indicated in the RFP. ** bid date info : If you desire not to respond to this RFP, please forward your acknowledgment of "NO PROPOSAL SUBMITTED" via an e-mail to packetresponse@ingham.org.
