Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Smyrna, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The project is for improvements at Rose Garden Park, located at 1839 Turpin Road, Smyrna, GA. The scope of work includes the demolition of two pavilions, a playground, a sand volleyball court, and associated infrastructure. Proposed improvements include constructing a new pavilion, new playground, plazas and hardscape features, stormwater quality measures, ADA parking improvements, and associated infrastructure. Proposed alternates include the construction of a sand volleyball court, a second pavilion, replacement of steps, seat walls, site furnishings, and a water fountain. This is a Community Development Block Grant funded project, and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. Professional service firms, contractors, and subcontractors must comply with all Federal, State, and local requirements including conditions of employment, job classifications, minimum wage rates, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246 – Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action, and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended. Minority and female firms are encouraged to participate. Procurement shall comply with the Common Rule, 2 CFR 200.317-326.
