Main Street. The building was previously a satellite facility for Oakland University, set up with classrooms and offices. A facility assessment has been done on the existing building and is included as part of this RFP. The goal of the project is to renovate the site at 20 S. Main Street to become the new City Hall with a fully adjoined Fire Station. The desired addition to the building would include an apparatus bay with support areas for the fire station. Conceptual design plans have been developed for the feasibility of the project, included in Appendix B. While these plans are provided, the City is also open to alternate layouts. As part of the renovation, updates are necessary to the building envelope and should be addressed in the construction documents. The total project cost is anticipated to be between $11.8 - $14.2 million dollars. The design is anticipated to be completed and construction documents ready for bidding at the end of May 2026.
